Brett

Brett Lorrimar

Warmly welcoming with a proactive presence, Brett Manages the company and is Team Leader.

Graduating as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and having experience in all facets of Mental Health, Brett worked for the Psychiatric Emergency Team in Perth and many other clinical areas of Mental Health, including child and adolescent, forensic, and psychogeriatric.

Brett went on for further studies in Science and Business and worked for some years in Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing. Companies like Pfizer, Astra, Glaxo Wellcome, CSL, and others. Brett’s other roles have included educating Doctors and Nurses in wound care management and emergency medical techniques.

Brett knows that stress and anxiety can weigh us all down at times. And that a positively unique experience can lighten your load and create ease within your body. He is passionate about making each participant feel special and finding genuine pleasure in our activities.

Gina Heard

Hi! My name is Gina, I'm Projects Manager for Lagunas. I lead and direct the staff overseeing multiple projects and ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope. I also lead and implement the staff training at Lagunas. My background is in Healthcare Management and Business Management.

In my spare time I like to play with my French Bulldog Pebbles.

Jakeira Aitken

Hi, my name is Jakeira. I am a disability support worker which I thoroughly enjoy as it’s very rewarding and fulfilling. I enjoy taking my clients out and about to experience all different activities and seeing a smile on their face.

Being a disability support worker means I can make a positive difference in their lives, help to achieve their goals, gain independence as well as making a positive impact with my support. Apart from support work, I also do house cleaning and dog walking.

In my spare time I love going to the beach, walking my two dogs, playing and cuddling with my two cats, traveling and exploring new places and horse riding.

I have two nieces and a nephew who have autism and ADHD, I love spending time with them such as going to theme parks, swimming and playing video games together.

Michelle Aitken

Hi I am Michelle I have been a disability support worker for almost 4 years and I absolutely love it. I thoroughly enjoy helping my participants get out in the community and enjoy their lives to the fullest. whilst I am supporting, I love shopping, cooking, meal prep and anything else my clients require me to do. I have had a great rapport with everyone I work with, I am also a very good listener and I love to have a good laugh. I am very flexible with my clients and hours and love to go on STA's and company activities. I enjoy doing NDIS courses to expand my knowledge on every aspect of support work. I have three beautiful grandchildren who have autism and ADHD, which I spend time with daily helping with their homework and swimming in the pool. I also love catching up friends and family, decorating my home, reading books, dining out and watching movies.

Deidre Drysdale

Hi my name is Dee I have newly started working for Lawns and Lagunas and have really enjoyed getting to know the Team and people I work with . I love my work as a Support Worker.

l have skills and qualifications in Special Education and Welfare/ Rehabilitation and I continue to work across ages and abilities including with young children, teens and older persons and maintain a regular commitment to volunteering in Palliative care . I am available to assist with overnight care and STAs . My passion is to enjoy experiencing life and in engaging and sharing in social emotional support and I love working with clients to achieve their personal goals I have an extensive background as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist in supporting and enabling people with significant sight loss or who are blind to live their lives the way they want to with safety independence, dignity and confidence including independent living skills within the home and community by moving about traveling independently . I also have experience caring for people's beloved pet care needs including with horses, dogs, cats and enjoy meeting people and welcome linking with you for any support you may need

I’m able to assist with personal cares, medication Prompting, social support, meal prep & domestic Assistance.

I’m passionate about being able to assist People on living their best life.

Hi, I’m Graeme. I have extensive experience in disability and aged care support, as well as handyman and property maintenance work.

My background includes working in residential support with participants in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and providing one-on-one community engagement.

I also have experience running my own business and working in healthcare, hospitality, and building industries. I’m passionate about supporting people to live independently and enjoy life to the fullest. Whether it’s providing personal care, home maintenance, or companionship, I take pride in helping others feel comfortable and supported.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring nature, camping,Yoga, meditation and spending time with my 13-year-old kelpie/border collie/koolie, Flow.

I explored with clients around the Gold Coast and wish to continue further support work. I'm currently studying my Bachelor of Nursing at Southern Cross University. I'm a very easy-going guy with ample patience, willing to give anything a go

Hi, I'm Tim. I’m a qualified Chef with 17 years of experience working in hotels, restaurants, and resorts across the globe. I am passionate about cooking with local ingredients and bringing the garden to the plate. I am also a full-time gardener/landscaper taking care of properties on the beautiful Gold Coast.

As a Support Worker, I’m available to teach in-home cooking and preparation of meals. My hobbies and interests include golf, fishing, camping, the beach, animals, football, and food.

Hi, my name is Adam. A qualified landscape gardener and experienced Support Worker. I have 15 years of experience looking after tropical resort grounds and facilities.

Happy to meet you and discuss your gardening needs, and if you like I can provide you with personal support for our activities.

My hobbies include boating and fishing, stand up paddleboarding, camping, and sports.
